Child Protection

Scouts NSW takes the safety of all youth and adult matters seriously. Everyone in Scouting has the right to feel safe. All suspicions, concerns or allegations about criminal matters or child protection or code of conduct matters should be reported directly to one of the following:
• By completing an incident form on the website by clicking on the orange links on the right of the screen on the child safe page: https://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/about/child-health-safety/

These reports will be filed with the Child Protection team who will action your report, or by contacting:
• The Deputy Chief Commissioner Youth Safety, Compliance and Support, or
• The Chief Executive Officer, or
The Child Protection Officer at the NSW State Office on 1800 605 004 or via email at ua.moc.stuocs.wsn|noitcetorPdlihC#ua.moc.stuocs.wsn|noitcetorPdlihC

At Cuboree, we take Child Protection very seriously. We require all participants, including resident contractors, over the age of 18 to hold and register a current Working With Child Check. Visitors to the site must be accompanied at all times.

We are also conscious of child on child issues at the event and we have a range of strategies and checks in place to monitor, prevent and handle issues should they arise.
